Top 50 movies in Hong-Kong in 2017

The TOP 50 of movies in Hong-Kong for 2017 is calculated based on the most shared movies on P2P, most searched and more discussed on social networks. It allows to identify the "real" demand for movies, not related to marketing and advertising but what users are looking for and are watching. Sometimes the results can be surprising!
Using those data help defining what are the movies which still have a demand for, even long time after their release date. For the yearly data we compute relative performance and not absolute performance. As a consequence titles released during the second half of the year benefit from a small advantage compared to others, but it allows to include them "fairly" in the ranking.
The performance indicates the percentage of movies that have a lower rank that the current movie. For example, a performance of 100% indicates that it is the #1 movies. A performance of 75% means that 75% of all the movies we track are less demanded by users.
We compute the demand, or hypiness by collecting P2P data, search information and by listening social networks.
